Throughout her career, Cyrus has experimented with altering her voice. She is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish. Billy Ray is best known for his 1992 hit single "Achy Breaky Heart". Her birth name is Destiny Hope, but she acquired a childhood nickname of Smiley because of her cheerful disposition, which was eventually shortened to Miley and which she legally changed to. Miley is able to play both the piano and guitar.
