Vertical Horizon is an alternative rock band formed by two undergraduates, Matthew Scannell and Keith Kane, at Georgetown University in 1991. Perhaps the idea to start a band came up during an enlightening all-night cramming session 5 hours before their final exam? After all, that's when all of the best ideas originate.
